March 2017 Issue, Volume I, Issue No.5

In the year 2016 – 17, we all have witnessed “Black Swan” events such as Demonetization in India and the election of Donald Trump as the President of the United States of America. These events had the potential to transform the economic and financial landscape of the world.

This issue of TAPMI Journal of Economics and Finance (TJEF) focuses on the impact of Demonetization on some of the major sectors of the Indian economy. It also focuses on the causes and effects of the rising NPAs in the Indian Banking Sector and the concept of Weather Derivatives.

We hope that the readers benefit from the insights of the papers published.
