Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) stands as a prominent player in the distribution of natural gas within India. It is a joint venture between the Government of Maharashtra and GAIL (India) Limited. MGL was incorporated on 18 February 1995 and commenced operations in 1997. MGL has the exclusive right to distribute natural gas in Mumbai and its suburbs. The company has a network of over 14,000 kilometers of pipelines and serves over 25 lakh customers.
