TAPMI Bloomberg Olympiad 2026 is the flagship event of the TAPMI Finance Forum, conducted in collaboration with Bloomberg Inc. The Olympiad is a national-level case competition designed to rigorously test participants’ financial acumen and their ability to effectively leverage the Bloomberg Terminal to enhance decision-making. The platform brings together some of the brightest financial minds from premier B-schools across India, fostering a competitive yet intellectually enriching environment.
Now in its 11th edition, the Bloomberg Olympiad has evolved into far more than a conventional competition. It serves as a comprehensive assessment of analytical rigor, mastery of Bloomberg Terminal functionalities, application of advanced financial concepts, and the ability to think decisively within an increasingly complex global financial landscape. Through this initiative, the TAPMI Finance Forum continues its commitment to promoting knowledge-sharing, critical thinking, and exposure to real-world financial decision-making.
The Olympiad commenced on 5 January 2026 with the first round conducted online via the Unstop platform, where over 60 teams from across the country participated in a Bloomberg-based quiz. The top 25 teams advanced to Round 2, which challenged participants to demonstrate their analytical depth through a spin-off-based case analysis, testing both conceptual clarity and practical application.
Following these rigorous evaluation stages, the top five teams qualified for the grand finale, which was conducted offline. The final round was designed to be both comprehensive and demanding, featuring two in-depth case studies alongside a high-intensity quiz. The cases focused on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and options strategies, two niche yet rapidly gaining asset classes in the Indian financial markets, underscoring the evolving and professional nature of the competition.
The final presentations reflected a high level of industry understanding, strategic thinking, and efficient utilization of Bloomberg tools. Intense Q&A sessions further tested the participants’ conceptual clarity, practical reasoning, and ability to defend their analyses under pressure.
