Economies around the world continue to explore new ways to extract oil hence making the oil and gas sector unsettled and oil prices volatile. Venezuela became first sovereign country to officially launch its own cryptocurrency called Petro backed by oil, gas, gold and diamond reserves to overcome the US-led financial sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This issue of TAPMI Journal of Economics and Finance (TJEF) focuses on some of the prominent topics in the field of Finance and Economics.
